Funny the way things go sometimes. Some might call it Murphy's Law, others maybe Sod's Law, but there are just some days.....

Despite the constant threat of rain and the low light, I finally got to shoot with the wonderful

on Sunday afternoon. Didn't end up in the spot I'd planned due to the weather, but still managed to get a few good shots at the other location. We both commented on how fast it got dark, and the mist, as it rolled in, had us both thinking of the Stephen King book / film of the same name!

Anyway, got back out to the Highway at Wentworth Falls.....and the traffic was almost stopped heading down the mountain! A Highway Patrol car, lights and sirens blazing, went by in the same direction the traffic was pointing, so it was decided to head UP the mountains, go across the Darling Causeway, and come down the Bells Line of Road.
After heading up the mountains, passing lonnnnnnnnng lines of slowly moving cars going the other way, we finally turned onto the Causeway, to be met by a sign : BELLS LINE OF ROAD CLOSED.

Which meant we had to join on the end of all of that traffic, and have a long, slow, weary trip down the mountains......

That's where the patience comes into it. Throughout the whole experience, a marvellous

sat calmly through it all with fantastic patience, as we passed the time in the traffic. I have to hand it to this lady, who remained cheerful throughout! No mean task, given that she was stuck in the car with me for nearly three hours!

Thanks

Here's to the next shoot - with a lot less traffic!
